Our seasonal coffee is a blend from two magnificent coffee-growing countries with rich coffee histories: Yemen and Ethiopia. Yemen, the land of Mokha and Arabica, is the country that first popularised and cultivated coffee commercially. Ethiopia, the home of wild coffee, is the mother of coffee origins. These two countries have not only shared the claim to the beginnings of coffee but also share a deep history of cooperation and integration that has spanned millenia. Both countries have even been ruled by the same kingdoms. This coffee blend represents the coffee culture and movement built by Yemen and Ethiopia. We chose the region of Anis, specifically the village of Bani Fadl, for its distinctly sweet natural processed coffees and for its significance as one of the oldest coffee growing regions in Yemen. As a complement, we’ve roasted a beautifully washed processed coffee of the Sidamo region of Ethiopia, from which coffee is said to have originated. This blend of Yemen and Ethiopia results in a delicious cup that encompasses over 600 years of coffee history.
