Located within the Ibb Governorate, also known as “The Green Ibb” for it’s color rich landscape, Al - Qafr region is home to 321 farmers. The region has a longer sun exposure of around 8 hours, which creates a sweeter taste profile to the coffee. Also adding to the sweetness are the high altitudes: the coffee is grown between 1700 and 2100 masl, with temperatures reaching 25 C and going as low as 9 C. The coffee produced by the farmers from Shaia’an village reflects the blooming nature of the region with its complexity, combining a peculiar sweetness of chocolate liqueur with fresh acidity of red apple. Notes of clove and hazelnut add spice and character. The brewing process opens up the flavours beautifully, with our roast highlighting the profile, giving the brew a velvety body.
