THE TRIBE
Tribes of Mokha started with a simple idea – to share coffees with real character and real stories. While our roots are in Yemen, today we roast and source exceptional coffees from around the world. We’re a small team based in Prague, working closely with farmers, cafés and coffee lovers who value quality, transparency and craftsmanship. For us, coffee is about people first – every cup is the result of trust, care and shared passion.
OUR APPROACH
Every coffee we roast is treated individually. We adjust each roast profile to bring out the coffee’s natural character rather than forcing a specific flavour profile.
While Yemen remains at the heart of Tribes of Mokha, we also carefully source exceptional coffees from other origins, always working with producers and importers we trust.
Our goal isn’t to roast coffee darker or lighter—it’s to roast each coffee as well as it deserves, creating clean, balanced and expressive cups that showcase where it comes from.
OUR MISSION
At Tribes of Mokha, our mission is to help restore Yemeni coffee to the world coffee map—where it rightfully belongs.
Yemen is the birthplace of coffee cultivation, yet today its coffees are often overlooked due to conflict, instability, and lack of access. We’re here to change that. By working directly with Yemeni farmers and cooperatives, we aim to spotlight their craftsmanship, preserve ancient traditions, and create sustainable pathways forward.
While Yemen is our heart and starting point, we also collaborate with producers from other origins who share our commitment to quality, transparency, and ethical sourcing. From seed to cup, we prioritize long-term relationships built on trust and mutual respect.
