– Haitham Al-Shoriy, Founder & Head Roaster

Where it all began

The idea for Tribes of Mokha began with a simple question: why was Yemen, a place that helped shape coffee culture, missing from so many conversations about coffee? That question came from our founder, Haitham Al-Shoriy, whose personal connection to Yemen inspired the project from the very beginning. Today, he remains an important part of the team, supporting our vision to explore the overlooked places, people and stories that continue to shape coffee.

FAQ's

What Makes Your Coffee Unique?

Our coffee is crafted with precision and passion. We source beans from the finest farms around the world, ensuring ethical practices and sustainable farming. Each batch is carefully roasted to highlight its unique flavor profile, delivering a truly exceptional coffee experience.

Where Are Your Beans Sourced From?

Our beans come from ethically sourced farms in regions like Ethiopia, Colombia, Guatemala, and of course Yemen. We prioritize relationships with farmers to ensure high-quality coffee and fair trade practices.

How Should I Store My Coffee?

Our coffee is best used within 3 months of its roast date.

To keep your coffee fresh and flavorful, store it in an airtight container in a cool, dark place. Avoid refrigeration as moisture can affect the beans. For the best taste, grind your coffee just before brewing.

What Grind Size Should I Use?

The grind size depends on your brewing method:

  • Coarse: French Press or Cold Brew
  • Medium-Coarse: Chemex or Drip Coffee Maker
  • Medium: AeroPress (regular brew) or Drip Coffee
